The venerable NBC reporter and linguist Edwin Newman discusses his book "A Civil Tongue"  I  remember we played a joke on him, going to an auditorium to interview a speaker who purposely butchered up the English language. Newman was a good sport and I got lucky. . .he never caught me in an English language mistake!
