I always enjoyed interviewing Hugh Downs and we talked on the air many times.  I appreciated his love of aviation and his astounding longevity.  This photo, however, was taken after I left KTAR.  My wife and I had traveled the country by RV and came back in November, especially to MC, the annual Veteran's Luncheon. I shared the podium that day with the son of Gordon Liddy, Tom Liddy, another former Marine.
